2nd seeds Llodra/Zimonjic battles past debut-duo
But it was certainly a close encounter. Both teams have been playing really well, and the duo of Rojer and Qureshi, who have only just started playing together in 2012, have impressed.
But Llodra and Zimonjic have a lot of experience, and that was displayed during the quarterfinal. The first set went to a tiebreak and the set was as close as the score suggests. But eventually Llodra and Zimonjic grabbed the opener 7-6.
But Rojer and Qureshi looked like they could pull back. The got an early break, but unfortunately for them it was soon recovered. Then instead, the 2nd seeds went up a break which was enough to close out the match and reach the semifinals.
In the semifinals they will face Robert Lindstedt and Horica Tecau who just came through after a win against Juan Martin Del Potro and Philipp Petzschner, 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.
