2nd seeds Llodra/Zimonjic sneak through
In the first set they looked convincing, and both Berdych and Kubot missed some easy volleys, while Llodra and Zimonjic were red hot. Therefore it was not surprising that they grabbed the first set 6-3, without too much effoert.
But it suddenly changed. Berdych and Kubot got a better start in the second, holding their serves crucially twice in the beginning of the second set. They got the break they needed, and suddenly the match was tied at one set all.
A match tiebreak was needed to decide which duo should get the semifinal spot. It was all even all the way through, but at the end of the match tiebreak, Llodra and Zimonjic showed their huge experience when it matters, and closed out the match 10-7.
