Berdych enjoys easy day of work
Unfortunately it was due to a Baghdatis injury. The Cypriot suffers from problems with his left calf. He had treatment during the match, and tried to continue, but without luck. at 0-3, 15-40, Baghdatis had to retire.
It was a shame that the match was decided this way, as the 2nd round match looked very promising, with two excellent players. Instead Berdych gets a free pass to the quarters, where he faces Andreas Seppi, who beat Philipp Kohlschreiber earlier today.
