Thiemo De Bakker and Jesse Huta Galung already received wildcards for the main draw. Tournament Director Richard Krajicek: “With Igor Sijsling and Robin Haase (direct acceptance) we have four Dutch players in the main draw. As you know, we always try to get as many Dutchmen in the draw as possible. They are added value for the public and the spectators”.
The wildcards for the qualifying draw goes to Paul-Henri Mathieu, 19-year-old Dutchman Meuffels Alban and Thomas Schoorel. Krajicek: “Paul-Henri Mathieu called me and asked if he could participate. After a serious knee injury he has dropped significantly in the rankings, but as a former world number 12 he adds value to the qualifying tournament that starts tomorrow. We asked Meuffels Alban on the advice of Rohan Goetzke and we had previously announced Thomas Schoorel”.
