Haase completes tough Dutch day

Robin Haase was the last Dutchman in action today, as he faced Nikolay Davydenko in the first match of the evening session.

Haase started well with strong service games, and eventually broke the Russians serve at 4-4. But he wasn´t able to close out the set, and Davydenko got back on 5-5. Then the Russian took two more games in a row to seal the first set 7-5.

It seemed to be the beginning of the end for Haase, who wasn´t able to keep up with Davydenko in the second set. The Russian played fast and forced Haase to make several errors.

Haase lost the match 7-5, 6-2 and completes a day of Dutch dissapointment, as both Igor Sijsling and Thiemo De Bakker lost earlier to Jarkko Nieminen and Viktor Troicki respectively.
