Mathieu, Bachinger, Berrer on display in qualifying draw

Even before the main draw starts, there will be plenty of action in the 39th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. The qualification draw offers several top players, and the crowd can look forward to some interesting encounters in the 1st round.

Former world number 12, Paul-Henri Mathieu, has received a wildcard for the qualifying draw, and will start his campaign against 3rd seed Michael Berrer in a tough encounter for both players. Berrer’s countryman, Mathias Bachinger, is the top seed in the qualifying tournament and faces Mateo Viola of Italy in his first match.

From a Dutch perspective the crowd can look forward to seeing three Dutch players in the draw. Thomas Schoorel is the 7th seed in the draw, while Alban Meuffels and Lennert Van der Linden are also in action.

Matches starts at 11.00 on Saturday, with Alban Meuffels against Rik De Voest of South Africa on court 1, while Germany’s Simon Greul faces Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium in the first match on court 2.

You can find the complete draw and schedule on the website.
