Seppi ready for quarterfinals
For the second time in his career, Andreas Seppi has reached the last eight in Rotterdam. Richard Krajicek remembers the last time, in 2008, as Seppi tookm out the big names in the draw, Lleyton Hewitt and Rafael Nadal. This time he beat Rik De Voest and Philipp Kohlschreiber, but his joy was no less.
Kohlschreiber is a good player. He has the abilities to make it difficult for almost everyone. He started the season well, reaching the semifinals in Auckland and Montpellier and the last sixteen in Australian Open. But he was not able to continue the success in Rotterdam.
Kohlschreiber was recovering from a flu, and was therefore not in perfect condition. That made it even harder against Seppi, who played a very consistent match. Seppi was able to make his h2h against Seppi better, as he has previously lost three times to the German, winning only once.
Seppi will face a tough quarterfinal, as he plays either Tomas Berdych or Marcos Baghdatis.
