For ABN AMRO, sponsorship is primarily of commercial means by realising our communicative objectives. These objectives are to enhance our brand image and to strengthen our business relationships in terms of marketing campaigns. ABN AMRO wants its clients to benefit from its sponsorship projects. ABN AMRO has long-standing associations in the areas of spectator sports and visual arts. Many of the projects sponsored lie within these priority areas, and some of them have been supported for several years.
ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament
ABN AMRO has been involved in the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament since the first event in 1974. In 2013, the bank is sponsoring the tournament for the 40th time, which makes it the longest-running sponsorship on the ATP tour. Shortly put, it's a unique sponsorship deal. ABN AMRO organises several (public) promotions in relation to the tournament. Moreover ABN AMRO account holders are offered a voucher, which they can spend on refreshments at the ABN AMRO Sportsbar.
